Cooking Up a Feast in Tuscany

After we selected the meats, cheeses, olives, balsamic vinegar, and sun-dried tomatoes; picked up the bread from the local bakery; and tasted the wines we’d be pairing with our meal, a chartered minibus drove us up to the Tuscan hills surrounding the city. There we encountered a beautiful rustic farmhouse sitting on acres of land.

The food feels traditionally inspired with recognizable crowd pleasers like spaghetti Bolognese and Meatballs. Much more than a pizzeria, you’ll find a new American take on the old-faithful’s. Like I said, they’ve done it again, and what they’ve done will make you want to slap somebody like Cher slapped Nick Cage in Moonstruck it’s so good!

Delfina! My San Francisco Treat

Too long-in-the-tooth to be considered the new kid on the block; Delfina’s modern take on Italian cuisine has consistently impressed local and visiting foodies alike for over 15 years. Our early dinner quickly turned into a perfect three-hour food comma as we ate our way through the something-for-everyone menu, signifying our approval with each Italian finger kiss. Benissimo!
